Skipness Engineering is the general engineering arm of Crinan Boatyard.
Projects have included designing, fabricating and installing iron roof trusses for the re-activated Bruichladdich distillery’s new bottling hall. Also some of the original and historic machinery was refurbished, including a 120-year-old bobby mill, used to crush the malt in the initial stages of whisky production.
Skipness also repair and maintain agricultural machinery (often literally in the field) and a wide range of vehicles and fixed plant. They specialise in long term engineering projects
